Leiasa Beckham
Leiasa brings over 15 years of real estate experience to Common Ground Urban Development. She specializes in grassroots development projects that serve the affordable housing, social enterprise, and nonprofit sectors.
Prior to joining Common Ground Development as Principal, she worked as Senior Real Estate Consultant at NCCLF. There she assisted nonprofits in securing more than 500,000 sq.ft. of commercial space, using various financing mechanisms including Transfer of Development Rights, New Market Tax Credits, Capital Campaign and public, private and foundation grants.
Leiasa is a Board Member of Communitere International, an innovative non-profit, pioneering an effective international model for sustainable disaster recovery.
Leiasa holds a Masters in Urban Studies and Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelors’ of Science in Urban Affairs and Planning from City University of New York City.
